The Biden Administration and Albo Gov were also working towards a similar outcome (decoupling supply chains with China ) via The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA) and the Future Made in Australia Bill
The Trump Administration from my POV is torn between the theory, the implementation and unpredictability of their leader. Ultimately both parties have a similar objective but disagree on how to get there.
As I've posted before this is a massive shift of geopolitical power, economics, technology, warfare, etc. etc. it will have an impact equivalent to possibly the 1st industrial revolution, and we are the small hold family farmers...
Most of this has been covered (media and sometimes here) as if it were a disrupted snow globe with people getting bent out of shape about the individual falling snowflakes but not necessarily looking deeper at the changes to actual structure at the globes center.
What is apparent in all this, is that critical minerals are (despite the swirling snowdrifts of politics and media hype) part of whatever future we are going towards. This is why I'm here.
