Unfortunately the cost efficiencies are not yet there to make it competitive, hence why the removal of the DGC credits was a blow to the company. The Clean Electricity Regulations may help but at this stage the Canadian government has failed to deliver despite the draft regulations being published over 12 months ago and the consultation period turned into two separate consultation periods, which are well and truly over with them stating the final regulations would be published in 2025. There is just one more publication of regulations left for 2025 and I expect they won’t deliver.
