    I understand the Sodium-ion tech to be interesting for fixed storage not EV anyway? Lower energy density in both weight and volume. That is fundamental from the chemistry. As such why do you mention it?

    The other recent BYD advances in fast charging appear to be using at most a low-silicon anode as the reported energy density isn't impressive. The advance is charge speed only and even that is dishonestly reported (ie: press-release marketed without challenge by the press as usual). The very fast charge rate is for only about 10% of the time between 20-80% charge as extracted from their own timestamped videos of the charging process.

    BYD solving a high-silicon anode battery without AnteoTech technology is a big risk - but I haven't seen any hint they have done so.
