The distance travelled by road or railway to a PSG Processing plant that is located at Port Adelaide, or possible Whyalla which is not out of the question, is negligible in the overall scheme of the project.
The fact is that graphite concentrate is not being shipped overseas means RNU will have a smaller carbon-foot print than just about every other graphite player except Nouveau Monde. And because it will have no import shipping costs and exchange rate cost concerns, it will be able to maintain a consistent overall supply of quality material for processing. Also, for shareholder value this potentially could provide a more stable and consistent dividend year after year after year.
When signing binding Offtakes, I don’t believe tier1 anode makers are concerned about the potential for hold ups in the supply chain when road or rail is concerned as they are about the excessive shipping of material from sovereign-risk countries.
