Very interesting. If I understand correctly, for the time being only a budget was approved. The exact place where the processing will take place still needs to be determined. Also the specifics from whom graphite will be sourced is not clear, only that it comes from Africa. What is also not too clear from the announcement is if Posco will go at it alone or if there is a chance that EGR will be involved as a partner with the HR-free graphite technology.
Regardless, this can be seen as a positive movement for the graphite space that finally someone ties to cut reliance on China.
