Yes it is bad news.
But this news had potentially already have been expected and priced in by investors.
Would the French government have been so lax to draft the new tax that it could be challenged so easily in the court? Maybe investors already factored in that it was unlikely to be successful so the ruling was not a surprise.
And maybe the stock is reacting to other news like rate cuts?
