    The "vanishing" ounces will still be on the books as Resource/Reserve, they won't have disappeared. But whether or not they make it into the mine plan is another matter. The gold production chart is high level, so it doesn't speak to the mining cost per tonne or the grade of the mined ore, and you probably don't want to try going down those many rabbit holes.

    My take on this is that for scheduling efficiency and lower unit costs they've elevated Eridanus in the mine plan and excluded oz from various satellite pits from the Mt Magnet hub. For all we know, by bringing Eridanus into the mine plan, RMS could generate equivalent or improved free cashflow compared to the original Diggers chart you're referring to. Leapfrogging between numerous small open pits is not ideal.

    I could be wrong, but economies of scale and mining from fewer sources for longer generally improves margins.
