there were some politicians smart enough in WA years back that ensured a supply of gas. It is the elected government at the time that approves the project to ensure our best interests are looked after. We have no one to blame but the people we voted in.
As for your views on China I think they are probably a bit simplistic. The Chinese are more apt than most at political negotiations as they have been doing it for centuries, underestimating them is foolish.
New markets. I think you will find that there is nothing as mature and reliable at this point as the Chinese market, otherwise we would be in it, again a reflection of our elected leaders and the market as it stands.
I do not disagree with all your points but it’s not simple and the times are changing.
