Hey, I thought the same after I posted, so I read the article. I stand by my response.
Research also shows that the initial carbon footprint is higher in an EV than an ICE, and depending on where your energy comes from, fossil fuels, renewables, then the parity point and the point in which EVs do have a reducing effect on C02 emissions can be as short as 6 months, to an average of 1 year, and all the way to 5 years.
Whether the article is promoting government to adopt a more robust renewables plan or to promote the "ev's are bad for the environment" agenda. The article is as I said... narrow minded.
