So it seems Trump fearing impeachment has decided to try to win the mid terms by draining liquidity out of the the financial system:

Of course such a move would do the exact opposite of what Trump is claiming and it is unconstitutional (he lacks the power) but Trump is desperate as he posted, the Democrats want to see him in jail. And judging by the polls and outrage that is not a far stretch hence he needs all the votes he can buy.
However this seems to kill the "inflate to infinity" BS all the perma bulls go on about. Seems as I have been saying in European democracies it doesn't work quite so well? People tend not to want to vote themselves into poverty and end of the day if you want power you end up having to give in to them.
P.S. Note this move was announced after market close of course so will be interesting to see how banks respond in the US come Monday. While the market can ignore things if its just talk, if Trump is serious they won't be able to ignore it for long.
