    Hi Mr Gordon

(John 1:6-8) There came a man who was sent as a representative of God; his name was John.  This man came as a witness, in order to bear witness about the light, so that people of all sorts might believe through him.  He was not that light, but he was meant to bear witness about that light.
(John 1:29) The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

How do you reconcile the above to Luke 4:18 to 4.20.?

According to these passages, John never met Jesus. From jail he sent his disciple to ask Jesus if he was the ONE.

Just like Jesus lineage, you have contradictions you cannot reconcile. You have to accept one gospel over another.

So the question I keep asking people who take the bible as god's word is do you believe that your god is an idiot?
He would put one set of word in John's mouth and another in Luke's.

Also, do you have any idea what a "scriber" is? Why would Jesus be hard on scribers?

    Pear
