    I have to say that I like your attitude and sentiment, but cannot see any possible harmony between science and religion as a way of discovery and learning about the world and how it works. Science and faith are two entirely different ways of looking at the world.

    Harmony is possible in the sense that we allow people to believe the teachings of their faith, providing identity and comfort in a seemingly vast and uncaring world, without the pretense that that faith can be reconciled with science.

    Also....sometimes, not always, the charge of prejudice is used as a means to discourage open inquiry and healthy skepticism, elements that are essential to sorting fact from fiction.
