    Don't know about "solid" in this "take no prisoners" environment and wouldn't call the ATO and Parliamentary inquiry stuff last year just a psychological barrier, but there's blue sky if conditions continue to improve.

    The latest figures (still out of date, however) most sites show for asset backing for FEA is roughly triple the market price of the shares. Cash flow and keeping the banks and woodlot investors sweet is the main issue. Things are looking better than they were when the stock was selling for one tenth of its asset backing a year ago. There's a long way to go to get back to the $1 listing price.

    Unashamedly "stolen" from part of a post of Alpha's on 29/10/01:

    "FEA faired the worst of the three plunging into the red matching the rapid decline in revenue with a cost blowout (which has reportedly since been addressed). As a result the company achieved an $8 million loss for the year albeit that $6.5 million was of a ‘one off’ nature. None the less FEA cultivated and planted over 9000 hectares and purchased over 25000 hectares of land representing a threefold increase in activity for the company on the previous year.

    Despite all this FEA has an enviable record of success as a company prior to its public listing as some of the following achievements acknowledge;

    ~ BRW No1 Fastest Growing Private Company (Year 2000)
    ~ BRW 3rd Fastest Growing Private Company (Year 1999)
    ~ Finalist in the Telstra Small Business Awards (1999)
    ~ GIO Business Star Awards Finalist (1999)
    ~ National Business Bulletin Rising Star Award (1999)"

    and

    "FEA - Listed into the gathering storm in June 2000. The $1.00 subscription price was never seen with the stock opening at 70c and commencing a steady decline from thence onwards."

    Disclaimer: I don't own any forestry stocks at the moment.
