    You are right, it certainly wasn't a big focus in the media, but it certainly wasn't hidden away.
    Not their fault the media focused on the simplistic interpretation of the policy.
    As far as your spouse was concerned, not sure she had anything stolen from her, as it sounds like her position didn't change with the legislation.
    As far as "honest John " is concerned, we will just have to differ on that.
    But his implementation of Labour Party policy on franking credit refunds was really not that big a deal.
    But it was weaponized by 2 things.
    1. his abolition of tax on post 60 super withdrawals and rbl's
    2. the labor party's large increase in the tax free threshold from 2007.

    If these of those things hadn't happened, I doubt we would be having this discussion.
