@manny100 there are several possibilities with the likes of the Rgupta..... and the various other incessant negative posters here, but any serious investor (or prospective investor) would have to ask themselves why on earth would you pay any heed to a person who obsessively and relentlessly pours scorn and criticism upon a company, when they have the option of taking their money, time and energy and putting it into an investment elsewhere which may actually create more wealth for themself ???
Do these people spend all their time out of a "real and actual" care of other investors whom they have never met ??? Myself I am inclined on the basis of my 74 years of life experience (having spent a number of decades working in the field of transpersonal therapy) that the type of caring person I have mentioned above does not come to a place like this daily to exercise their care of fellow man.
These people have motivations which would be regarded by many as questionable to say the least, really, do you want to spend your daily life engaging in negative, disparaging diatribes or jibes - there could be more fulfilling possibilities for a person...........
There are a number of types readily identifiable (and of course numerous other perceivables)
1. Deeply in the red, have lost money and are not happy about that, in fact they're angry - but holding onto that anger won't help anyone least of all themself.
2. Long term holders who've lost patience, or, who have perceiveded what they think to be certain management mistakes or decisions which they don't agree with. Again as with the deeply in red crew, there appears to be a mission to seek retribution and/or a desire to impose a change in management - and this would be in all likelihood against the wishes of the vast majority od shareholders - and it would also be extremely detrimental to the ongoing prospects of BRN.
I will digress here to enlarge upon ONGOING PROSPECTS, if a spill motion was to be implemented at today's AGM, it would have an immediate impact on the share price, and that impact would be, in one word, bad.
This is not rhetoric or a speculation on my part, there is more than enough statistical evidence to support what I have said on Board Spills, the vast majority of them have bad outcomes for investors.
The Market Does Not Like Uncertainty, and Spills Spell Lack Of Confidence - it is as simple as that - and the market will punish it - hard.
Back to the "types"
3. The short trader type, personally my thinking is that any person who thinks that coming to a forum and down ramping a stock even in an unrelenting way, will affect the movement of share price is delusional. This however, may be a different story if we have numerous posters who are together in concert following a planned strategy, it also depends on how deep their pockets are. This type has no concern for you or your investment, how any serious investors could have any regard for anything said by this type of poster is beyond my understanding.
4. The real enemy, and they are here (and many other Boards on global investor forums), the unremitting negatives who will post criticism, disparagement with an unwearying fervour multiple times a day every day of the week. You could only do it for money and they do, they are likely employed by the same institutions who run the algorithmic trading bots, their mission is to make money and they don't care about your money at all. The algo trading bots are not possible to beat and they do it globally - you just have to know your investment well, be well researched, understand the story, but at the end of the day - you are the one who pushes the button.
BRN is trending well, substantial progress is being made, the ecosystem is working, money is coming finally (I have been here close to 11 years) so while it has taken a long time it is coming.
So it would be completely dumb for me to not vote positively for the Board and their existing strategy.
