public service sector will be heavily slashed by 1000 jobs as part of a desperate bid to strip back spending in the debt-riddled state.The cuts will include around 330 executive and senior jobs, expected to free up more than $4 billion over four years.The state avoided even deeper cuts after Treasurer Jaclyn Symes flagged that between 2000 to 3000 jobs could be lost when the Helen Silver review was commissioned back in February.
