    VECOMMERCE LIMITED 2002-07-09 ASX-SIGNAL-G
    HOMEX - Sydney
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++
    VeCommerce Limited (ASX: VCM), a global leader in the provision of
    natural language speech recognition (NLSR) and voice enabled
    e-commerce solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a
    contract by one of Australia's leading diversified financial services
    groups.

    Utilising the latest in communications and speech recognition
    technology, VeCommerce will provide a voice enabled solution allowing
    callers to get easy access to the broad range of products and
    services the company offers.

    The initial installation is expected to result in more than $1
    million of revenue for VeCommerce in FY2003. The system can be easily
    expanded as user acceptance of the technology drives further
    applications and a subsequent larger capacity.

    The implementation of natural language speech recognition in a major
    financial services organisation is seen as a significant breakthrough
    for VeCommerce in this important market.
