Did you ever hear of "Two-Buck Chuck"? No? It's the hot wine out here, sold exclusively by the great Trader Joe chain (the chain is owned totally by a German family). Grapes have been over-produced and the harvests have been huge. Just too damn many grapes. As a result, the price of wine has caved in. Great wine is cheaper, and good wine is very cheap. And Charles Shaw wine is selling big time at $1.98 a bottle exclusively through Trader Joe's.
