the guy who made money from afar by checking volum

Can you pls help. Recently I read an article by a poster who said that a particular person has made millions whilst travelling the world by reading the papers each day to check volumes. He based buy / sell orders on this. Does anyone know of this article and if / where it can be found. Thankyou in advance. / M
