    Credit Suisse Told to Pay $250 Mln in Stock Probe (Update1)

    New York, Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. regulators told Credit Suisse First Boston to pay $250 million to settle investigations into whether the seventh-largest securities firm misled investors with stock research designed to win investment-banking contracts, people familiar with the situation said.


    Total fines are expected to exceed $1bl with Citi to cop $500mill.
    Will the Govt reimberse the punters this money or accept it as their's alone? Doh!
