This is an interesting scenario.

Switzerland banning the use EVs during power shortages.
Germany and Spain also considering this.

This follows a similar directive from California during a recent heat wave.

It's worth mentioning these restrictions are only planned for "worst case" scenarios.


And I'm certainly not suggesting this will slow EV sales (which is what we all care about), but it's another potential PITA aspect of EV ownership many will conveniently overlook.
