I take your point but I meant pure Capitalism, Communism Socialism etc.

If the US State failed than can US multinational capitalism survive?
What about Wall St and all that jazz?

Should that happen and China prosper, then China will not likely
welcome ex-US multinational corporations into its patch, IMO
because its will see its State Capitalism/micro private enterprise
    system as the nuts.

Of course there's the EC (-UK.......-GB.....-Britian perhaps later)
Its model has been shaken by Brexit with Eastern Europe
waiting for the Chinese BRI to arrive. While it has the biggest
consumer market by USD, its bureaucracy is strangling it IMO.

And of course there is always the spectre of WW3 which
could properly bugger the globe.Who'd worry about Global Warming then?

IMO our Government does not have the wherewithall
or the collective brain to steer Aus economically and diplomatically
through the next decade . Instead we seem to have a cabal
of self interested politicians and their corporate sponsors
who gives Buckleys about the General Good and expect a waning
US to protect us from a rising China.

If we could only assemble the best brains in the country with their hearts
in the right position and fashion a Government of National Unity
so that we as a country could benefit from global conflict rather than being collateral
damage! At present ScoMo has made us a clear target for both US & Chinese economic shrapnel!

The USA has cut our throat by cutting a bilateral trade deal with China displacing our
ag & energy products from the Chinese markets and the Chinese have accommodated
by bunging crippling tariffs on our ag & energy exports to China.

I'm keenly aware that markets for our export products are global but China has driven
our prices since the GFC and now that's bollocksed together with tourism & foreign students (ed export revenue)

And the pathetic thing is that we think that we're doing well be goosing the economy by 10% on the credit card
and kidding ourselves that we're doing well which is like Muffnie maxing out the credit card while on the dole and skiting about how well
    she looks on social media!
