Recently, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened to cut off oil supply
to the United States if there is any sign of aggression toward his country from
    the U.S.

In a good representation of what not to do in a situation such as this,
televangelist Pat Robertson called for the assassination of Chavez.

Apparently, Chavez is growing more and more distrustful of the United States,
speaking out against President Bush, and saying that the U.S. government has a
conspiracy to topple his government and is plotting to assassinate him.

To this, Robertson, who is the founder of the Christian Coalition of America and
a former presidential candidate, had this to say:

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks
we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do
it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war...and I don't think any oil
    shipments will stop."

"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm
dictator," he continued. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert
operatives do the job and then get it over with."

We can't imagine why Chavez would think that anyone wanted him dead.
