If commodities continue to improve I could be tempted to revisit an old favourite of mine from the giddy days of 06/07, namely Mincor (MCR). I always liked the company, particularly its intolerance to debt levels. I bought in around the $1 mark and held until around $4.50 when I took about 40% profit. We all know what happened in 07 and I continued to hold until 2010 because the co continued to pay a divvie for a long time (and I admit I was probably a bit smitten with MCR because it had been so good to me). From memory it was primarily a nickel play and I don’t have to spell out what happened with the nickel price! I've a look at the monthly chart and it seems to have consolidated around 30c following its swan dive from $5. It has switched its focus to gold while keeping its nickel options open.
