Telstra hails mobile 5-to-1 win

  1. Some good positive news to continue the upswing in share price along with reduction in middle management numbers with employment contracts not being renewed. However cost reduction can only go so far.

    Telstra hails mobile 5-to-1 win

    05jul02
NEARLY 10 months after the introduction of mobile number portability, Telstra is claiming a win.

Telstra Mobile business sales managing director Murray Bergin yesterday said it had gained a net 100 larger customers and held corporate market share since number portability arrived last September.
More than 130 firms joined Telstra, connecting tens of thousands of new mobile phone services, while 30 companies in the same size range had left.

Drawing encouragement from the figures, Mr Bergin said: "Our win ratio is somewhere between five and six to one."
