    I've been thinking about the policy landscape a little. I actually think we benefit from policy disfunction that keeps power prices higher than they need to be. This creates more incentive for large consumers to work with companies like ours, particular for our solar behind the meter projects.

    In saying that, we would benefit from more subsidies in the bioenergy space that's for sure and there are other benefits of waste reduction with abattoirs and the like that are about more than electricity.

    Even in the best case though I think this will remain a politically charged area of public policy, just like it has been for the past 10 years specifically. Also have the states not agreeing with each other which is another layer independent of the private sector.

    So I'm not worried that we will see a consensus position emerge politically in the short term. In the meantime, hopefully both sides of politics decide to throw a few more subsidies for complimentary renewable energy projects like our Goulburn project. Australia has a green image for our beef, surely every abattoir should have a bioenergy project attached minimising waste and generating electricity.

    That sounds like something everyone could agree on
