With regard to NAB taking over AMP, I believe that it is possible if the takeover is friendly. A hostile takeover is prevented by AMP's articles of association which expire in June 2003.

PS. NAB picking up AMP below $20 would be a great deal. Especially in the medium term NAB would rally.
