Sam has repeatedly said that he sees the Strategic Partner/s bringing equity in at the Project Level tied to offtake. If I understand it correctly, this means that we establish a special purpose company, let's call it Sunrise Project Company. Debt and equity are tied to SPC rather than SRL which means that shareholders of SRL carry less risk.
But, what do the Strategic Partners get? Is their initial investment just a down payment on future metal? How do profits get distributed? Is there a standard structure for Project Finance like this? Or is it flexible enough to accommodate all kinds of structures?
Any ideas?
