re: speeding ticket (14/7/03) Hi Mikey,
I saw this morning that SLX was actually served with a speeding ticket yesterday. In its response, SLX advised that it was not aware of anything, had nothing new to announce, had not finalised its accounts for fy03, had $39m in cash on hand, and was able to keep funding its research programmes.
Nothing new, there. SLX also said that the market's earlier reactions (on several occasions) to the various USEC announcements, amounted to over-reaction and that, coupled with year end tax loss selling, had contributed to the previously fallen share price.
If you look at similar speeding ticket responses over the past 2 or so years, and to my analysis on these from earlier this year (January, or February), you will see that SLX sticks (in its responses) to a fairly well trodden line.
Based on this, I would submit that, at this stage, there zis nothing in the pipeline, but typically, as these things go, there may well be in the coming months (ie: Translucent, etc, in due course).
