I'm considering an EV for my next car when current lease expires in 18 months. Not because I want to save the planet, but because the government incentives make it cost effective. Also because I love the concept of maximum torque at zero RPM.

I wouldn't get a Tesla or any of the Chinese ones though. I'd be looking Euro such as one of the Audi E-trons.

Biggest concern though, is would I get anywhere close to the 'ballon' payment on resale after the 5 year lease is up.

The balloon payment should reflect the value of the vehicle, end of lease. ie hand it back & debt cleared.

Will be interesting to see if any companies are giving 'guaranteed' price at end of lease.
