Blackout Bowen says you should install batteries for energy back up when the sun isnt shining but how can a battery be charged when the sun isnt shining.
Also if the battery gets charged it only discharges for a very limited time.
On the days the sun is shining no ones home to use solar any way and if the battery is charged for use a night it only discharges for about an hour
So there it is the sun doesn't shine at night and also not every day so solar and batteries have a very limited use and after ten years the panels and battery wear out and have to be replaced.
I say shove you solar energy up where the sun dont shine
