The odds are shortening for Shane Warne to grab his 500th test wicket at the MCG for the Boxing day test. He is currently on 477 and with the Melbourne test being the fourth it gives him a great chance to claim it in front of his home crowd. If it does pan out like this then we should see record crowds at the MCG for this match.
Let's not forget our captain Steve Waugh. He requires another 266 runs to reach 10000 runs in test cricket, achieved only twice before. This will occur during the ashes aswell, but wouldn't it be great if both Warne and Waugh could achieve their milestones in the same match.
