▫️ At the training grounds, the servicemen learn to work closely together so that in real combat, every movement will be brought to automatism. The assistant commander of the Ivanovo-based Guards Airborne Troops Formation for physical training with the call sign ‘Fizruk’ told more about the drills:

‘First of all, it’s a work in contact. The second point is the use of hand fragmentation grenades. Tactical thinking develops, removes certain fears. Then, in the same situation, they will act correctly’.

    Pantsir covers the sky
Today, our focus revolves around the Pantsir-S SAM system in #WeaponZ column.

In the special military operation zone, the Pantsir-S SAM systems protect Russian troops from air strikes. Thanks to the unique combination of rapid-fire guns and high-precision missiles, the Pantsir-S is capable of intercepting almost all air targets, from missiles and aircraft to stealth drones.

The intensity of the crews’ work is maximum. Every shift they hit dozens of targets in the sky. If any hostile target enter the Pantsir’s engagement range, they are immediately neutralised. Every day, air defence units save lives, ensuring calm in the rear and covering troops on the front line from surprise enemy air attacks.

The SAM system has proved its exceptional effectiveness against MLRS systems and cruise missiles. The Pantsir-S system operates both in automatic mode and under operator’s control. Its mobility allows it to quickly change positions, avoiding a retaliatory strike and remaining on duty at the hottest spots. The main benefit of the Pantsir-S is its reliability. The servicemen value it for being able to detect even super-small targets.

For example, the Pantsir-S SAM system crew, commanded by the Hero of Russia Capt. Sharov, shot down a record number of targets. Thanks to resolute actions of the servicemen, a lot of military and civilian infrastructure facilities were protected from air strikes.
