My problem is my country, and naive countrymen, supporting a regime which does everything possible to avoid peace. LPR and DPR were inventions? Um... The people there would probably disagree. Amd yes, now Russia have taken more territory, and so Ukraine's position is weaker in negotiating. You know how close Raf are to the western Donetsk border in the Pokrovsk front now? It would have been better if they had used diplomacy at the start - as Putin would have expected.
