Yep, and all points seem to indicate CATL will have a big say in the further development of Manono.
Experts are suggesting that battery manufacturers need to have their facilities closer to their car manufacturing clients. CATL are building gigafactories in both Europe an China, where the bulk of the car manufacturers are located.
Lithium Plus took equity in AVZ through the recent placement. Bin Guo is a director of both Lithium Plus and North American Lithium. North American Lithium are controlled by CATL. As others have pointed out, Lithium Plus is quite likely to be a proxy for CATL as far as their AVZ holding is concerned.
The transport study could possibly suggest the use of both east and west transport routes to get to the full production capacity, which might suit CATL's requirements. Some lithium to be sent west to port and then via the Atlantic to the planned gigafactories in Europe. And the remainder of produced lithium sent east to port and then via the Indian Ocean, destined for their Chinese gigafactories.
Just my hunch at this stage.
