Pete or Jim or whoever. I have never hidden the fact that I am an investor in HML. I have also never hidden the fact that I remain extremely suspicious of the firm. The only reason I hold a small parcel is as an exceedingly speculative play as an information hedge. To date, I do not have enough information to make an informed decision as to whether or not they are worth a bigger play or should be openly pointed to as an 'avoid at all costs'. But I continue to research HML/JBL and associated companies to seek answers.

The fact they have delivered such a big return on the NAV does not mean that they will continue to do so. I could name several funds/firms no-longer in existence that had bigger teams and more resources than HML that delivered 100%+ returns for a few years before copping investment failures so dramatic they went out of business. This is nothing I haven't seen before.

So then, rather than attempting to disparage my intentions which I have always made perfectly transparent, tell me something. In your informed view, how is HML any different to those funds who have gone before them and failed in such dramatic fashion? What is going to keep them potentially suffering the same fate?
