    Hello there Green0

Maybe the secret of success for the speculator is to put most of his carefully chosen eggs into a carefully selected basket, and then to watch that basket very, very closely. Recent events in the stockmarket arena suggest that some "sophisticated investors" and many other gofers, wankers and wannabes don't do their due diligence nor do they watch their basket. And yet the information necessary to allow the individual investor to manage their own portfolio in a defensive yet effective way has never been more accessible. Admittedly, takiing advantage of this abundant supply of useful information requires extensive, time-consuming and ongoing research, but in my opinion this is the price you have to pay to keep out of the jaws of the sharks. In the end, the best way to go is to for the individual to take total responsibility for the management of their investment portfolio; no-one owns you a living. Above all, If you don't do your due diligence and/or forget to watch the basket, don't complain and whine if it all goes pear-shaped.
