qld mine projects fast track

From Mining Australia Newsletter today.....MNM's Mt M "green energy" project potential beneficiary. Be nice to see the QLD government fast track something for a change. They would have done this 6 months ago if they were fair dinkum about fast tracking mine approvals. The fact they haven't till now confirms they have little understanding of the economic benefits in "genuine" fast tracking.Uranium mining fast tracking is next on the agenda....or they can follow the terminal path of the WA ALP and so called "Greens". The Greens are full of green wind with their position on zero GHG uranium power. Credibility of both regarding green credentials is not sustainable.
Fast tracking mine approvals and native title better late than never though.
The MNM retrace is good short term, allowing profit taking and new investors both to win. Share price cheap compared to where it has been and will be with further progress on gold, uranium approvals in Qld, phosphate in NT and Mt M.

Mine approvals to be fast tracked
    MINING INDUSTRY experts will
meet for the first time today to discuss
    development of a fast track
    approval system for Queensland
    mines.
    The Queensland Government has
called for the review after the mining
    and resources sector haemorrhaged
    jobs during the global financial
    crisis.
    Representatives from the coal, oil
and gas, and mineral sectors have
convened to draw up a report for
    next April, with proposals designed
    to streamline the exploration and
    development approval processes.
The project aims to fast track the
    process, offer greater transparency,
    improve native title assessments
and create a platform to build an
    online approval tracking system.
It is also looking to increase active
    case management.
    However, the streamlining
project will not look to jeopardise
    or remove existing environmental
    standards.
To date the project has already
    implemented phase one.
The project will be headed by the
    Queensland Resources Council chief
    executive Michael Roche.
    Roche explained that the
    Government must continue to
    implement reforms and the resources
    necessary to ensure the States
    regulatory frameworks succeed.
