    or more specifically the Queen Garnet plum

    it seems that rats were fattened, and they end up with all the sort of problems (eg high blood pressure, a fatty liver, poor heart function and arthritis.) that afflict fat humans .  after  including the juice from the purple plums, then the rats lost weight, and all body functions returned to normal.

    if it works on humans, then that would be great.
