HOMEX - Perth
+++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hardman Resources Ltd provides the following progress report on the drilling of the Woodada #19 gas well. The well is being drilled within the Woodada Production Licence (PL5) located approximately 260 kilometres north of Perth, Western Australia.
PROGRESS: (Last 2 days to 06:00 hours 22/5/02)
Total depth of 2,841 metres. Pull out of hole after DST #2. Prepare test tools and run in hole for DST #3. Complete DST #3 successfully. Pull test tools out of hole and prepare to conduct wiper trip with drill string to re-condition hole.
Note: All depths are referenced to rig drill floor (KB).
PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF DST #3:
Off bottom test of sandstones within entire Irwin River Coal Measures section and High Cliff Sandstone. Test interval was 2,510 to 2,841 metres (total depth).
Flow period of 5 1/2 hours with inflow to test string at estimated rate of 600 barrels per day, Inflow stopped approx 285 metres below surface.
Recovered approx 64 barrels of drilling mud with thin oil film on top of mud and minor amounts of gas.
Note: Considerable drilling mud was lost into the sandstone beds tested by DST #2 and #3. The drilling mud must be recovered before formation fluid (oil or water) can be recovered during testing (ie longer term test is required).
FORWARD PROGRAMME
1. Run and cement 7 inch (178mm) casing to total depth of 2,841 metres.
2. Conduct long term flow testing through casing of the sandstones within basal Irwin River Coal Measures and High Cliff Sandstone to determine the type of formation fluid and productivity.
3. Conduct long term flow testing of Carynginia Limestone to confirm the economic potential for gas production.
PRIMARY AND SECONDARY TARGETS: Refer to previous announcements.
