Current Operations: Production Testing F-Sandstone Reservoir

Testing of WBN4 commenced on Sunday 3rd November. The well was observed to flow oil to the surface facilities under natural flow conditions without the use of artificial lifting methods such as a beam pump or nitrogen lift. The well flowed continuously for two days during daylight hours and was shut-in overnight. While attempting to run a jet-pump and pressure gauges on wireline some operational difficulties were encountered. It was subsequently decided to relocate the wireline operation to WBN6 in order to establish flow rates under jet-pumping conditions as quickly as possible and come back to WBN4 once testing on WBN6 has been completed. Currently WBN4 has been left to flow under natural conditions to the production tanks during daylight hours (see photo below). The well appears to be further cleaning-up and is flowing continuously to the tanks.

WBN6 commenced testing at 7.45 am on Tuesday 5th November, the well has flowed oil consistently under natural flow conditions during daylight hours and is shut-in overnight. We are currently rigging-up WBN6 for jet pumping. If wireline operations go as planned we could expect to commence testing on the 12 November. Once tests have been completed on WBN6 the well will be put on long-term production. We will then attempt to re-run a jet pump in WBN4 and commence testing on this well.

WBN5. Testing on WBN5 commenced on Thursday 7th November. The well did not flow oil to surface under natural flow conditions, but is expected to flow oil when tested with a jet pump after which the well will be put on long term production.

Petrophysical interpretation suggests that the northerly WBN4 and WBN6 wells have intersected a well developed F-Sandstone reservoir when compared to previous wells drilled on the Wichian Buri North structure. This has also been reflected in the well testing to date.

Oil recovered during the testing will be sold to the refinery and at the conclusion of the tests the wells will be put on long-term commercial production.

The company will issue a press release regarding flow-rates as soon as the full results of the well-tests are known.
