    COMEX gold jumps as shorts square before weekend

    NEW YORK, Nov 23 - Gold futures jumped Friday as pre-weekend short covering kicked in on the COMEX after London bullion trade wrapped up, amid worries that any hitch in Iraqi arms inspections could inflate gold's war premium.

    "Da Boyz" are slowly losing their grip on the metal.
