    WRT to depth, 500 metres is not deep at all. With any underground development, the key issue is what dollars are earned from each metre of shaft/decline/drive? For gold mines, the key parameter is ounces per vertical metre. For base metals is comes back to contained metal per vertical metre. You either need high grade ore, wide ore zones, or a long strike length to pay for capital costs of underground mining.

    South African mines go to 3000 metres deep - how? - very high grade ore and long strike length.

    Current depths at Jaguar are not an issue - the grade of the ore, width of ore, and its strike length are very important issues. The grade looks good, but I presume strike length is yet to be determined?
