phil burgess is a neocon (lol)

The man in the hot seat, Telstra's Phil Burgess, has a very interesting background. He is the right-wing intellectual from central casting – glowing columns about Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh, snarling columns about the Clintons, and photos of him with GW Bush! He has recently been CEO of a right-wing think tank called the "Annapolis Institute" (see their website here), and appears to have spent most of his career in academia with his stint at US West Qwest appearing to be his most significant private sector job.

His weekly right-wing columns for a Denver newspaper make interesting reading. He has little time for Government regulation or protection of special interests. I am sure after a bit of reading you should be able to find some interesting quotes for Crikey readers, Telstra shareholders and the National Party.
