SciDev Secures $19.5m Rum Jungle Contract was not the reason for buying in

That it's under 2% of the Fracking market with 98% to pick up in new business was not the reason for buying in

FeatureFluorofIX (Enhanced IX)Standard Ion Exchange (IX)Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)Reverse Osmosis (RO)
MechanismAnion exchange resin, specifically formulated for high PFAS selectivity.Anion exchange resin.Adsorption (PFAS sticks to carbon surface).Membrane filtration (physical barrier).
PFAS RangeExcellent. Highly effective on both long-chain and short-chain PFAS, down to extremely low detection limits.Very Good. Generally more effective than GAC for short-chain PFAS.Good. Highly effective for long-chain PFAS (PFOA, PFOS), but less effective for short-chain PFAS.Excellent. Removes virtually all PFAS (both long- and short-chain).
Capacity/LifeVery High Capacity. Designed for long service life before media needs regeneration or disposal.High capacity.Moderate capacity; capacity reduced by natural organic matter (NOM) competition.Very high rejection rate (removes PFAS, but produces a concentrated waste stream).
Key AdvantageHigh efficiency for the full range of PFAS plus the associated RegenIX™ system for on-site media regeneration.High removal efficiency, especially for charged contaminants.Lower initial capital cost; well-established technology.Highest removal efficiency for all contaminants (salts, metals, organics).
Waste ManagementMinimized. Paired with RegenIX™ for on-site regeneration, which creates a small volume of concentrated liquid waste suitable for destruction.Spent resin is typically incinerated or landfilled, or regenerated off-site.Spent carbon must be incinerated (reactivated) or landfilled.Produces a large volume of concentrated liquid waste (reject water) that must be managed.

Determining the exact current global spend on PFAS water management is complex because the costs are split across litigation, public utility upgrades, industrial remediation, and ongoing operational costs. However, market research and recent settlements provide several key figures and projections for the size of this growing market:

    Market Size and Investment Snapshot

The global expenditure on PFAS water management is a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar sector. The numbers below reflect the most recent market estimates and major public investments:

    MetricEstimated Value (Approximate)Source/Context
Global PFAS Filtration Market Size (2025)$2.0 - $2.3 BillionMarket size for equipment and media (GAC, IX, RO systems) used for filtering PFAS from water. This segment is forecasted to grow rapidly.
Global PFAS Remediation Services Market Size (2025)$1.0 - $1.7 BillionMarket size for remediation services, including consulting, site cleanup (soil and water), and thermal treatment.
US PFAS Treatment Market Potential (Over Time)>$200 BillionEstimated total addressable market in the US for wastewater treatment and remediation to comply with anticipated regulations.
Major US Litigation Settlement$10.3 - $12.5 BillionFunds specifically provided by 3M to US public water suppliers to detect and treat PFAS contamination (2023 settlement).
US Federal Funding$4 BillionAllocation from the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act specifically to address PFAS and other emerging water contaminants.
Europe/UK Cleanup Projection£1.6 Trillion (over 20 years)A high-end projection for the total cost of cleaning up toxic PFAS pollution across the UK and Europe, averaging about £84 Billion annually.

The long drive home had a person on a pod cast suggest the 10x not my work. Above and Below made me buy

My review this morning and reading PFAS National Environmental Management Plan 3.0 "• taking all reasonable and practicable measures to" will include remediation and that's not a area or country specific lonely event as pointed out in the 'FY25 Investor Presentation'

Well below the years high even with today's nice immediate profit.

I'll look at the other very interesting parts of the company when I get a chance
