Though God has no need of a body, being pure Spirit from all eternity, the Second Person of the Trinity freely took on a real human body and soul in the Incarnation.
He remains fully divine and pure Spirit in His divine nature, while becoming fully human in His assumed human nature. In Christ, divinity and humanity are united without confusion or mixture.
This truth directly refutes the idea that a spirit can only be pure by existing without a body.
The human body is not “dirty” or inherently impure. On the contrary, God created the body good, and in the Incarnation He elevated it to the highest dignity: the body of Christ is now seated at the right hand of the Father.
