Southcorp, halted at $3.71, is expected to resume trading at 2pm today (and be hammered) after it confirmed the market’s worst expectations - it will report a loss for the current financial year and won’t pay a dividend. This came after forecasting operating earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA) before self-generating and regenerating assets (SGARA) for the full-year of between $130 million and $140 million. As recently as January it had been forecasting EBITA pre SGARA would be $287.1 million.
