NY oil tops

OIL prices in New York today soared past $US102 a barrel for the first time, lifted by strong demand and a further decline in the dollar.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in April, jumped $US3.10 to $US102.74 per barrel.
Oil prices shot higher on the back of continued strong demand and further troubles for the dollar, which plumbed historic lows against the euro.
