I can see the existing patients continuing under compassionate use but that’s it. The drug manufactured and pressed almost certainly will be for the validation testing, shelf life testing, human trials. They will also almost certainly need to do further production as the trial progresses.
Everything costs so not thinking compassionate use will be on the agenda unless fully sponsored by an alternative source.
