Yes it would be an interesting civil case for NSW Supreme Court to hear once the legislation
in repealed. There are many possibilities but I believe that the courts couldn't ignore the +$90m ploughed into the exploration and development of Doyles Creek, legal costs incurred and lost potential earnings (read interest) on such invested capital. This would be base case based on current precedent cases. There is also the possibility of being handed back the EL if Glady blows her budget surplus as Sydney property prices tank. The latter is less likely to be the negotiated outcome given the Greens anti capitalist (I mean coal) mantra.
